Today’s video is us puppies observing the 2 minute silence this morning. To be honest I was quite surprised that I could get the others to go along with it, but I think the timing may have been quite fortunate. You can see it here.
Alfie is back from the vet and recovering. They haven’t found anything very significant. He has a touch of arthritis in his elbow but was more concerned about the vet’s comment that you could expect that in a ‘middle-aged’ dog. He still saw himself as being young. They have done blood tests and urine tests and given him a thorough examination. He does have a fatty lump behind his shoulder which may be affecting how he holds his leg, but that won’t be causing the pain. At the moment they suspect he has a trapped nerve, but that is not so easy to prove. He’s got anti-inflammatory painkillers and some other tablets that I’m not really sure what they are for and has to go back again in 10 days. It’s good to have him home. I’m looking forward to when he is back to his old self and will want to play with me. The vet did say that he has an odour on his breath which may suggest his body is reacting to all the hormones flying about in the house. I think my Mum might be partly to blame for that and Megan’s season can’t help. Who’d have girls?
I’m going to sign off now. It’s been a tough day for a little puppy and I need some time to play.
