Monday 23rd January 2012 – Mischief and memories

As I wrote the date I realised that today is a very special day. It is exactly six years since I started writing my diary. I was just ten weeks old at the time and very new to the world. You’ll have to look back and see all the mischief I got up to. Or follow the link at the bottom to buy the book of the first year. I feel quite nostalgic.

Aristotle has had a better week this week. His mischief has been rather more limited with the possible exception of yesterday. I would have liked to have brought you a photograph but I’m afraid it has been embargoed. Aristotle decided to play in the clean washing. It was hanging on the drying rack, minding its own business at the time. Anyway, all went well until he managed to pull my Mistress’s bra off the rack and it landed with the strap round his neck. He wasn’t sure how to get it off and then was running madly round the kitchen dressed in my Mistress’s bra. It was a very funny sight indeed. It’s a shame that my Mistress didn’t think it quite right to bring you a photograph of her bra. Although to be fair, Aristotle was a bit distressed that it was attached to him and was starting to panic, so I didn’t actually have time to get the camera before my Mistress had rescued him and given him a cuddle. Why is it, if I do something wrong I get told off and if he does something wrong he gets a cuddle?

For reference it wasn’t me that ate the carrots off the side, that was Shadow. Ok, I was the one who ate the bread, the marzipan and the bird seed, so I can see how the confusion may have arisen.

It’s only one more week until Aristotle starts his training classes so I suppose he’d better make the most of the defence of not understanding what is expected of him. It isn’t going to wash for long. If he’s told to stay he’s going to be expected to stay. Mind you, to be fair to the lad he does seem to have picked up quite a few bits already so I don’t think he’ll be slow to learn.

  1. That is a funny story. And congrats on your 6 years.

  2. Congrats on six years of blogging! Oh, and tell Ari I like to steal bras too (but for some reason that never gets caught on camera!)

  3. Alfie buddy,

You really make me laugh – 6 years – very impressive!!

It must be hard for you to keep track of all the Mischief that’s going on in your house!! Glad to see you’ve still got time to get involved in some yourself and a very good week you’ve had!!

The great thing for Aristotle is that even though after his training he will be expected to ‘obey’ Mischief falls way outside the boundaries of training and discipline and is still therefore totally acceptable!! Well, that’s sure how I see it!! Tee Hee

    Have fun Mischief Makers,

    Your pal Snoopy 🙂

  4. Oh it is too bad the pictures of the bra incident can’t be shared! Luckily your description makes up for no photos. LOL
