I am delighted to say that our wonderful, wonderful vets successfully brought Shadow through her operation and were able to present her with her son D’Artagnan at around 7.30 this morning. He weighed in at 480g and completes the little family. He was transverse so would have been a problem being born whatever we had done. We are so happy he is alive and well and that Shadow is now in recovery at home where she belongs. He didn’t get called Dostoevsky in the end as even our Mistress decided it was too much of a mouthful. I’m glad she saw sense. Not that D’Artagnan is much easier to spell!
