Happy New Year

A very happy New Year to you all from Switzerland. As Alfie is putting his paws up, it falls to me to wish you all a very happy New Year. As the baby of the family, I’m not sure I’ve got all that much wisdom to impart yet. That’s something that Alfie is far better at than I am.

I never thought at the start of last year that I would be starting this one so close to where I was born. I really am a very lucky dog. I think, rather than making resolutions I’m going to count my blessings. I am happy and healthy and couldn’t be more loved. I get to spend lots of time walking in my favourite places and have wonderful companions in Alfie, Shadow and Ari. Unlike most dogs, I see Mama regularly and Papa occasionally. There’s nothing I really want for and I’m going to make the most of what I’ve got.

I’m also lucky that I have so many friends. Thank you all for being part of my life.

The changing mountain

Every day when we go for a walk, the mountain is just a little bit different. It’s always beautiful, but never quite the same as the day before. There is still not very much snow, but there is a little. We saw a snowmobile go past and now Mum thinks it would be fun for us to go on one of those instead of walking. I rather little walking, so I’m not so sure.

The front fell off

The oven didn’t have such a good end to last year. There was Mum trying to take tea out on Sunday when the door fell off in her hands. Unfortunately, the tea itself didn’t fall on the floor, which I thought was a shame. I did get shouted out to get out of the kitchen, but as Dad explained later it was for my own safety and he didn’t mean me to think I’d done anything wrong. Mum and Dad were very happy that a lovely man was able to come and fix it yesterday so they can use it again. And I’ve forgiven Dad for shouting too.
