Dog Days
Yesterday was one of my dog days. I went to day care and had chance for a change of scene and to play with the other dogs. It really is true that a change is as good as a rest and by the time I go home I feel so much happier. It’s funny, Mum says she feels it’s like picking a small child up from pre-school and I should go trotting out with the picture I’ve painted for her. It’s a nice thought, but I think there are good reasons that they don’t let me get my paws on any paint at day care.
Shadow on guard
Shadow spent some of her day on guard in the office. It’s so funny, given she can’t actually hear all that well at the moment. She reacts when she’s awake and really alert, but if she’s dozing then a herd of cows could get past her. Of course, she is still having ear drops to help clear her ears out and she hates them. She keeps shaking them all over Mum. She was upstairs with Dad for some of the day but she got it into her head she was missing something, and started barking over one of his work phone calls. He was not happy!

Cuddly boy
Meanwhile Aristotle is making up for lost time and demanding lots and lots of cuddles. He still is having to rest some of the time. He’s still best in his crate for those times, but at other times he can be up in the office or outside. When he is in the office he keeps trying to climb on Mum’s knee. She doesn’t mind at all. Of course, he doesn’t fit, but it’s always fun to try. He’s always been a boy who’d be happy to be cuddled 24/7 so he has a lot of making up to do.
