Bored
I’m bored. I don’t want to sit indoors for the next couple of days. I’m an outdoors kind of girl and that’s where I’m happy. I like to prowl around the garden and keep an eye on what is going on. Mum has said for the next three days I will only be going out when she says I can. In the meantime we’re stuck indoors and it’s just not the same. Oh, I know it’s safety first, but it just shouldn’t be as hot as this and then everything would be fine. We aren’t really hot weather dogs. A double layer of black fur is not a good mix with hot sunny days. If this country continues to have hot spells like these Mum says we are going to have to make some changes to the house.
Too many windows
You wouldn’t think it was possible to have too many windows, but it really is. Our house is very light, that’s the good side. The bad side according to Mum, apart from the heat, is all the dog nose prints on the glass. That’s more Ari than me. I try to remember not to put my nose right up to the window. Mum has been looking into heat reducing film to put on some of the windows but it could be a big job and she’s already got a long list of jobs she isn’t getting around to, so I can’t see it happening anytime soon.
Early walks
I suppose I shouldn’t feel too sorry for myself. Mum did get up really early so we could all have time outside before it got hot. She’s also promised to take us out later, so I’m probably being an unreasonable dog moaning about the bit in the middle. Despite that, I’m still going to moan as I’d rather be out all day.
