Sunny autumn day
There is nothing quite like a sunny autumn day. Yesterday was just the perfect opportunity to kick my paws through the leaves and enjoy all the scents in the air. The sky was blue and the pine trees of Oakley Wood looked wonderful against the sky. Mum and I both love walking in woodland and we skipped along, full of happiness. To be fair, I was the only one actually skipping, but the thought was there with Mum. I was surprised how few people and dogs we met. All the ones who hadn’t gone out just didn’t know what they were missing.
Baddesley Clinton
Today we are off to Baddesley Clinton and Hay Wood. Baddesley Clinton is a National Trust property, but there are a few areas that dogs can’t go. Mum says we’ll go to the visitor centre and get the dog walking map, but then might walk across to the neighbouring Hay Wood, which is owned by the Forestry Commission and does allow dogs. The forecast for today isn’t sunny, but at least it should be dry this afternoon.
Exciting news
We are all very excited. Dad is coming home. I don’t just mean he’s coming home and then going away again, I mean he’s coming home and staying home. He’s coming home for a short while next week, which we’re all looking forward to, but then very soon he’ll be here again properly. I can’t wait to show him all the places I’ve been going to. I just know he’s going to love them. Shadow says looking forward to him being here all the time is really giving her something to look forward to and is keeping her going. I think Mum said it may be February when he’s properly here, but I’m already excited.
Love
