Dog friendly hotels in Essex

We will include here Dog Friendly Hotels in Essex that our correspondents report on. Giving our usual bone rating, with six being the highest award.

Ongar

Mulberry House – Ongar – We like it for its 22 acres of lovely grounds. You can walk around and have a little play, although if you like chasing swans you will need to show some restraint. There’s is plenty of parking and bins. The room we had could be accessed without going through the hotel, although don’t be surprised to hear your humans moan about the problems of dragging a suitcase over gravel. We give it four bones.

Thurrock

Ibis London Thurrock M25 – I tested this in pawson and was very happy. We were given a choice of rooms as Mum had asked for ground floor, but they said they were smaller so there was less room for our beds. We had a look and agreed it would be fine, but the extra space might have been useful if Shadow had not been unwell and in possible need of nighttime exercise. There was grass around, making pee stops easy and bins too, which are always helpful. It was only just off the motorway, which is very useful when travelling. We give it four bones.
