More like my mama
It seems as I get older I look more like my mama Susi. Mum says girls always become more like their mothers and it seems I’m no exception. I had a lovely comment from my birth human to say that the photo of me at hydrotherapy looked more like Mama Susi and it made my day. My Mama was the most beautiful dog when I knew her in her older years. I will be more than happy to become more like her, although I don’t think I can manage to be quite so gentle and graceful as she was – I’m just not made that way.
Sunny day
Yesterday was thankfully a sunny day. I say thankfully as we seem to have had so few of them recently. Mum had some important stuff to get out of the way, but as she was finished earlier than expected we were able to have lots of outdoor time soon. Oh it felt good to munch apples with the sun on my fur. Mum was mowing the grass at the time and try as I might to pretend I didn’t know where the pile of apples had come from, she wasn’t fooled. Oh how I miss having another dog to blame.
Peopley day
Today is a peopley day. Fortunately most of them will be outside. The builders have dug a big hole right outside the front door for the foundations to the new porch. They will be working on that. Some lovely people are coming to do the annual maintenance of our pond, which will give more room for the ducks to swim if they’d like to come back. There is someone fixing the house alarm too, but they will be inside and I’ve been told not to bark at them. It is hard to know when I’m supposed to bark at people coming into the house and when I’m not. Mum says she sometimes feels exactly the same.
