Not making a fuss

By not making a fuss I’ve managed to get agreement for what I wanted. What I’d really like is a comfy bed in the hall. I like the newly finished hall and it’s the best place to be on guard duty. Not only am I aware of all the comings and goings in the house, but I can see what is going on outside and know if there is someone at the door. I’ve been sitting in the armchair during the day. Then I decided I’d quite like to make it my room and sleep there too. I slept in the chair with my head hanging off the side.

To begin with, Mum and Dad took no notice. Then realising that was where I wanted to be, Mum said it won’t do my neck any good so I’ll need to have a bed in there. That was the easiest won victory I can remember. I just need to wait for Mum to get my other really nice bed from the storage unit.

On the other paw

On the other paw, I did make a fuss yesterday morning and I earned myself an extra biscuit for it. Mum was in the bathroom when the doorbell rang and didn’t hear it. This was 7.15am. There were two odd things. Firstly, it was way too early and secondly you have to climb over the building work of the new porch to get to the doorbell. Anyway, when Mum came to see why I was barking she opened the curtain by the front door and jumped a mile to find a man the other side trying to look in. He wanted to deliver some bricks for the builders. They aren’t supposed to come until after 8am, but I don’t think the man thought rules applied to him.
