Weather forecast
The weather forecast was wrong yesterday. It said it might rain a little just around 1pm. They didn’t say it would rain a little from 9am onwards and a lot in the afternoon. Mum was painting the shed trying to pretend it was ok, but the rain got heavier. She thought the paint might wash off as fast as she applied it.
In the afternoon, my sister Valeria sent me a lovely picture from my mountain with a beautiful blue sky. I did wish I was there with her. I had to go and sit in the hall under my big picture and pretend that’s where I was.
Paws crossed
I’ve got my paws crossed that today’s forecast is right as we’re likely to have most of the day outdoors if it is. Mum has asked Dad to help with some tree cutting she needs to do. That’s not strictly true, Mum said she was going to do some tree cutting and Dad said she wasn’t safe to do it on her own. I’m going to supervise them both from a safe distance and have the hospital on speed dial. Looking at what Mum has planned I think it will take most of the day, or at least as much of it as we all want to be out there. Even I have my limits. It can be a bit damp sitting on the grass for too long. I got bitten on my tummy lying down eating apples, so I don’t want to do that again.
Changing the clocks
It’s that horrible time of year again when my tummy gets all confused because my meals appear when I’m not expecting them and we have to stop gardening earlier. Mum hates this time of year and I do see her point. Long days and blue skies are much more enjoyable.
