One more coat – Wednesday 30th October 2024

One more coat

We have just one more coat of paint to put on the door of the shed and it will be finished. Then I can show you a photo. I have helped and got a blue ear for my troubles. It’s so hard to remember to tuck your ears in when you’re painting. It definitely looks more like a beach hut than a regular garden shed. Thankfully that was the plan.

The exciting thing about when it’s finished is that Mum will start to move all her DIY things back in. They’re in my shed at the moment. When I say ‘my’ it is the one that all the dog things are stored in. Anyway, once Mum’s stuff moves out I can find the dog pen and see if it needs anything doing. I know it’s a bit soon to get ready for Pebbles but I’m excited and want to have everything prepared. Mum is particularly concerned that we take care until Pebbles is fully vaccinated. I might have had all my jabs, but I don’t suppose the foxed which visit our garden have. We are going to put the pen up early to exclude the foxes from that area.

Swimming

It’s swimming day today. I know I’m not supposed to swim, just walk on the treadmill. It was difficult to stop myself last week. I think I might prefer to swim. I remember Alfie saying a long time ago that he never understood why anyone would use an escalator and voluntarily stand on something that was trying to move away from them. It’s just the same with a treadmill. It’s a very odd thing to do. One minute you have your paws under control and the next the ground is running away and taking you with it. At least swimming you have some say in which direction you’re going in.
