The jumper
The jumper is finished. Mum even let me take a picture to show you. She says I’m not to mention that the sleeves are a little long, but you can see that without my help. On the bright side, it will keep her hands warm. Brighter still is the fact that it really is quite warm and snuggly so I shall enjoy cuddling up to Mum wearing it.
Given that this particular jumper has taken four years of hard work, I don’t think it would be a good idea for Mum to start knitting anything else in the near future. She says she has wool for another jumper. I’ve talked to Dad about us confiscating it so that she’s not tempted.
Blue Sky
We saw blue sky on my walk yesterday. I know that sounds like a normal day, but where we are that is the first blue sky we’ve seen in November. In the first ten days we had absolutely no hours of sunshine. Not even one.
As we walked yesterday, with it being so much brighter, Mum and I spent the whole time talking about the colours we could see. We concluded that red, indigo and violet were missing from the landscape. Mum said that wasn’t so bad as we’d painted rooms in the house in those colours.
I don’t think we’re expecting any sun today but there might be some tomorrow. Mum made the most of it being dryer to cut the grass under where the outdoor playpen needs to go. I know we don’t need it yet, but Mum wants to keep the foxes out of the area which Pebbles will play in, to make it as safe as possible for her when she hasn’t had her vaccinations.
I think Mum will go back to more hedge cutting today and I’ll watch.
Love
