Never wants to be apart – Monday 18th November 2024

Never wants to be apart

Mum says she never wants to be apart from me again. She missed me too much. And there were times when the world seemed a big scary place and I wasn’t there to help. I would be feeling really good about this, were it not for the fact that Mum says that every time she has to go away without me. Time will pass and she will forget how useless she is without her beloved dog and we will go through the whole cycle all over again. In the meantime, I will be making the most of doing everything together and enjoying her company. Best of all I can look forward to our trip to Switzerland, just the two of us. I’m counting down the days already.

Staying focussed

In the meantime I need Mum to stay focussed on the things we have to get done before going away. I’ve got a list for her for each day and she needs to complete my list before she thinks of doing anything else. Today she has to bring the lemons indoors, do some fencing at the side of the house and put up at least one set our outdoor Christmas lights. After that, I’ll let her decide what order to do things in.

Now, about the lemons – Mum is worried they won’t like the underfloor heating in the garden room. She’s decided that we’ll do a test. One lemon will come into the garden room and the other will go into the lounge. There are two steps up to get in through the lounge door to the garden, so that is going to be harder. The plan is that we then compare how they do, in order to find which they prefer. At least then next year they can make the decision for themselves.
