The wrong idea
Pebbles really does have the wrong idea where her paddling pool is concerned. It is supposed to be for her to play in and keep cool. I suppose she is using it to play in, but not in the ways intended. Yesterday she emptied the water onto the ground and then dug a big hole where the ground made it wet. Then she put lots of the mud in the paddling pool. Pebbles being the dog she is, it didn’t end there. Obviously, she’s chewed some more off the side of the pool. However she then turned it over and started using the underside as a trampoline. I don’t really know if she was trying to bounce on it or crush it – crush I think.
Mum took the opportunity, when Pebbles was out of the way, to turn it the right way up, clean it out and refill the water. Now we are waiting to see what Pebbles’ next move will be.
Getting fed up
To be fair, both Pebbles and I are getting a bit fed up. Mum is still ill and it means we’re having to entertain ourselves rather more than usual. Mum has promised to make it up to us, but we have to be patient and I’m better at that then Pebbles is. The most important thing for Pebble is for Mum to be well enough to secure the fence. We’re all hoping that is going to be very soon. I will say one thing for the crazy puppy, she’s actually been remarkably understanding so maybe there’s hope for her growing into a wonderful calm adult after all.
Oh and in case you were wondering, the bunting has still not arrived. Mum even talked to the delivery company yesterday and they assured her it would arrive by the end of the day… it didn’t!
Love and licks
