Happy birthday to me
Happy birthday to me. Today I and my brothers and sisters are ten years old. Happy birthday guys, wherever you are. Mum hasn’t made my cake yet. Don’t worry, she hasn’t forgotten. She said it would be best for her to cook it this morning so I can eat it nice and fresh. I’ll take a photo of it first so you can see it. I know she’s got it in mind as the bowl and ingredients are out ready on the work surface in the kitchen.
I haven’t opened my present yet either. I’m waiting for a quiet moment to enjoy it at my leisure. I’m presuming it’s what I asked for but the box is still firmly closed.
Hydrotherapy
I had my hydrotherapy session yesterday. I’ll be honest, it was hard work. Mum has booked me to go weekly again for a while to try to build the muscles in my back legs. It’s a good aim, but so often things get in the way of me going.
The next is likely to be eye operations. Even after only a couple of days of trying to do eye drops many more times a day, Mum and I have concluded this just isn’t going to work long term. When Dad comes home later we’re going to sit down with him to discuss booking me in for my first eye to be operated on. In the long run it’s going to be the only answer.
Dad’s suitcase
Yesterday Dad’s suitcase arrived at the hotel in Houston where he’d been staying. Of course, by the time it arrived he wasn’t staying there anymore and was no longer in Houston. As he’s now on his way back to the UK, we’re waiting to find out where his suitcase will go next. It’s having quite a trip as an independent traveller.
