Outdoor girl
Come rain or shine, Pebbles is essentially an outdoor girl. She doesn’t notice if she gets wet. If the sun is hot, she just goes into the shade. It would be perfect, if she didn’t want Mum to be outside with her. They were outside raking up apples in the rain yesterday. Sensibly, I was watching from the garden room window. Mum said that Pebbles was being quite a good girl, which is a real compliment. Poor Hoppig was soaked to the skin, but at least for this one occasion Pebbles let Mum get on with a job and didn’t try attacking the rake.
As to what happens when it’s colder weather and darker, I really don’t know. Pebbles isn’t going to be happy to have to spend more time indoors. She just can’t find enough to keep her entertained. We’re all hoping that at some point she will learn to chill out, but that doesn’t look like happening anytime soon.
My operation
I have booked for my right eye to be operated on a week on Friday. In some ways it can’t come soon enough, but of course I am very anxious about it too. I have an admission time of 8.30am, which is going to mean leaving the house just before 8am. I guess that’s not too bad as I won’t have so long to think about missing my breakfast.
As far as I know, the recovery time is around two weeks. I’m guessing that is going to mean a cone again and being in my crate quite a bit so I don’t find creative ways to rub my eye or cheek.
I think if it goes well I might try to have the second one done at the start of September, but maybe I’m being over optimistic on that.
Love and licks
