Railway Station
Our shed, or railway station as it is being called, is nearly finished. Today was supposed to the last day of the builders being here, but I think they won’t finish until Monday. I think Mum wants the mud situation to improve before either Pebbles or I get to go and have a look. I think Dad wants the mud situation to improve before he goes out there too.
To be honest even I can see that the mud has become a problem. Someone is going to have to wash the floors and I’m not putting my paw up for that one. Mum did have an electric floor washer but it died so it will have to be a mop and bucket. I could roll around on the floor to see if my coat would do it, but to be honest I’d rather not.
Electricity
You take electricity for granted until it doesn’t work. Our power will be off next week for a day while some trees are cut that are affecting the overhead lines. We are hoping that is going to solve a problem. Yesterday for the whole day or power was flickering on and off. It was really annoying. Mum put something in the microwave and a power surge stopped it. Then she set it running again and the same thing happened. Our heating system tripped out and had to be reset. It was all very annoying. The builders came and asked if there was another socket they could plug into as their power tools were affected. Dad had to disappoint them by telling them it was the whole house.
The forecast is to be wet and windy again today, so I’m guessing we’re going to have the same problem with the power. I’m going to find somewhere dark and comfortable to curl up and try to take no notice.
