Work in Progress
The railway room is a work in progress. The boxes have gone out there but the pieces haven’t all been put together. I just hope that the ones which have been put together are in the right order, otherwise it will not go down well. Mum is planning to spend some more time out there today. She says she can only do it when I’m the only one around. It’s impossible to get on with Pebbles to help. Pebbles has her own way of doing things and it rarely fits with anyone else’s ideas.
November
I know I have some dementia but I do know it’s not November. It’s just that the weather feels as though it still is. This grey dreary weather is really getting us all down. Poor old Pebbles says she really needs much more time outdoors than she’s having. The problem is that she doesn’t want to be out there on her own. To be fair, Mum doesn’t really want her out there on her own either as she gets up to mischief. We all want to get out and do the gardening, but everywhere is just far too wet. It’s just miserable. Then I heard the weather report saying our ‘blocked weather pattern’ is going to continue for another month. That will mean it has been November for four months. Ok, so most years November feels like it’s four months long, but it never actually is – except this year.
On the bright side
Of course, looking on the bright side, if it is still November then I’ve still got Christmas to look forward to and I haven’t aged in the last three months. I guess it’s important to focus on the positives when at all possible. We also have a nice warm house, so I don’t really need to bother going out at all if I don’t want to.
