Building a greenhouse
Mum and Dad are building a greenhouse. It might only be a small patio greenhouse, but there are hundreds of parts and I really do mean hundreds. I did not sign up for supervising these sorts of activities. It was not in my job description. Mum says that Aristotle used to be the best at supervising furniture building and related activities. She also said that given I remind her of Aristotle, she rather hoped I’d be good at it too. Ok, so I can sit on the grass at a distance and observe, but I am not – I repeat NOT – going close to where they are working.
Building a greenhouse is not playing to their strengths. If you list the things my humans are good at, this would not be at the top. Realistically, I don’t think it would even make the list. They wanted to give up for the day when all they’d done was sort the parts out into order.
Local Walk
I didn’t go for the longer village circuit walk on Sunday. The weather was really windy and I get very jumpy when it’s like that. Mum concluded that a walk involving traffic and new places, together with the wind, might prove too much for me. Anyway, we will do it later this week hopefully.
Yesterday we went down the road opposite that I’m completely ok with. Ok, so I did try to chase a Jeep, and Mum had to explain – again – just how dangerous that sort of behaviour is. This is why I’m firmly on lead.
I have no idea what gets into me, but sometimes these things just seem like a good idea at the time. Somehow, Mum needs me to learn that they are never a good idea. Along with eating conkers – although I did work that out after biting into it and spitting it out.
Today I’m off to training, which is far more fun as I get to see my friends.
