Getting excited
I’m getting excited. Mum is just nervous. She knows that’s the worst thing she can be as it means I will respond and play up, but today is not in her comfort zone. The crazy thing is that Mum is taking ‘be prepared’ very seriously. I think she’s packed the car for every eventuality. We have water for me and coffee for her – best not to get those the wrong way around. Food for me and food for Mum – I’m happy to switch on those too. Treats for me, but not for Mum, which seems a little unfair. That is balanced out by the fact that Mum is taking warm clothing and waterproofs but I’m expected to be ok without.

Between my sessions
In between my sessions I’m supposed to sit quietly in the car. That is not my first choice of activity. I am much better at it than I used to be and haven’t screamed for help for a while now. Mum has explained that if I ever get someone to break into the car to ‘rescue’ me, when I’m just bored, then she will be stopping all my treat allowance until I cover the cost of the damage. That sort of focussed my mind a bit.
Mum has promised to come to take me for a walk or at least sit with me, as much as possible. She has pointed out that if I would learn to sit quietly at her feet then we wouldn’t have this problem. Fair point, but I can’t work on everything at once.
What will they say?
Mum and I are both keen to know what the trainers are going to say about my character. Mum is hoping for some ‘helpful’ tips on how to work with me. I’m just interested to see what they think. I might have a little fun with them and see how they respond.
