Daycare
We spent yesterday in daycare. I wasn’t expecting that. Because we weren’t staying overnight, Mum didn’t think I needed to be consulted. I don’t mind especially, I just like to be asked. Mum and Dad were going to Mum’s great nephew’s fourth birthday party and we weren’t invited. To be fair, I could probably have gone, but Pebbles would have caused mayhem. It’s still the time of year where we can’t safely be left in the car in case it’s too warm. So on balance, Mum concluded that daycare was a better idea.
It was fine, but a long day as we left at 8.30am and didn’t get home until 6.30pm. The kennels is sort of on the way to where they were going, so did at least spend part of the day with Mum ad Dad.
Overexcited
To say that Pebbles was overexcited about a day out would be an understatement. She couldn’t stay still long enough for Mum to put her lead on and gave Mum a big deep scratch on her arm in the process. Pebbles will be starting on some medication this week to help her to calm down a little – or a lot! I can’t wait. Mum will need to take her to the vet to be weighed first, so they can get the dose right.
As Mum needs to take a swab from Pebbles mouth for a DNA test she’s going to book to see the nurse for her to do that part. Mum has tried to get Pebbles to let her take swab but it has been impossible. The problem is that Pebbles is not supposed to eat for two hours before doing the swab and getting her into the car is impossible without treats. Maybe Mum should wait to do the swab until after Pebbles has started on her medication!
