Rogue courgette
I can confirm from Mum’s cooking yesterday, that one rogue courgette is enough for a serving for each of ten people. It’s a bit like the feeding of the five thousand and how far two loaves and five fish can go. In our case a courgette and a few carrots would do the trick. That makes me wonder how many a rogue marrow can feed, as they are even bigger than the courgettes. The marrows aren’t supposed to be ready to eat for a couple of months. My worry is that by then Mum won’t even be able to pick the marrows up as they’ll weigh too much.
The vegetables aren’t all good news. Something has been eating some of the tomatoes before Mum can even get to them. There are plenty more, but there is no telling if the animal will come back for some of those too.
Long Day
It was a long day for me yesterday and way too peopley. Fortunately, some of the people that came I’ve known since puppyhood, which makes it much easier. However, even then, when there are a lot of people I find it all quite stressful. Pebbles thought it was wonderful. She has been doing really well recently, so Mum can give her more freedom. She loves meeting new people and is totally unfazed by all their scents. I guess we both got extra treats which is always welcome, but I was exhausted by the end of the day.

I’m planning a recovery day today, but Mum says there’s a man coming to replace a fan in the bathroom. I don’t think he will need my help, but I’ll be on paw just in case. He certainly won’t need Pebbles’ help. I guess she will have to stay out of the way.
