Our kind of Day – Tuesday 28th

Our kind of day

Yesterday was our kind of day. We mooched. The whole day was wonderfully aimless. Mum did get some things done, but she said she had had three very busy days and needed to unwind a little. I thought the morning was best as it was much cooler and breezy. That’s much better for being outdoors as far as I’m concerned.

What I don’t understand is how, if there is no rain, all the nice plants seems to start dying, but the brambles begin to take over. It seems a bit unfair really. Mum was trying to cut back some of the brambles, but there’s an awful lot of them.

Pebbles is doing well

None of us wants to speak too soon on this one, but Pebbles seems to be reacting well to being given a little more responsibility. There was the unfortunately peeing in the dining room incident, but leaving that aside, she is doing a little better. Mum has even managed to get some work done with Pebbles chilling out beside her. At one point, Mum even forgot that Pebbles was there, which takes some doing.

I have wondered about having another go at spending time with her, but I don’t want to be premature. Mum pointed out that it doesn’t take much for Pebbles to go hyper, we aren’t at the end of that happening. It just means when she’s not hyper she’s much easier to live with than she was. Maybe there’s hope that one day she’ll be a normal dog, but Mum says not to have too high expectations.

It’s training day for Pebbles today, so I’ll let her write the diary again tomorrow and she can tell you how things are going from her point of view. Maybe she’ll even make it through her whole class.

Love and licks
