The greenhouse saga
Well, the greenhouse saga is ongoing. I’m not absolutely sure that Mum and Dad are talking to each other, but thankfully they are both still talking to me. Actually, Dad is still talking to me, trying to break Mum’s nose might have affected how she feels about me.
The first job on the greenhouse was to check all the remaining parts to see exactly what was missing. As it turned out, there wasn’t anything missing if you look for things in the right place. Mum was relieved that she had not yet emailed the company to complain about the missing parts as that would have meant an email of apology needed to be sent by Mum yesterday.
Ask the expert
Mum declined to book an expert to build the greenhouse for her as it seemed like a lot of money to pay for something so easy. Day three of building is behind us and Mum now realises that expert greenhouse builders are underpaid and very good value for money. She is not planning to retrain for the job. In her words ‘I am never doing something like this again – ever!’
On the bright side, the lemons won’t need to be put inside it until November, so there’s a little time yet to finish the project.
Tedious training
Having to do ‘stays’ before breakfast is tedious. When I got up yesterday I was a little bit hyper. I couldn’t even remember to stay outside long enough to pee. Mum had to actively take me out again and stand there while I did what was needed. Then when I came back in I decided a barking frenzy was in order, which I can see at 7.20am wasn’t necessarily appreciated. Mum decided the only thing for it was for me to have a ten minute training session. It’s funny how often that will calm me down. I managed to stay for 30 seconds before getting totally bored and wandering off.
Now I’m preparing for whatever mischief I can get up to today. Mum has asked if I could leave off causing more injuries until the existing ones recover.
