The most beautiful stone
Mum has been sent the most beautiful stone by a very dear friend. It has been engraved with Wilma’s name and a pawprint. Mum says that although it’s probably supposed to go outside somewhere, she wants to keep it on her desk where she can reach out and touch it. I said she could just stroke me, but apparently that’s not the same.

The best time
I did have the best time with Mum and Dad last night though. It turns out, if we try hard enough, all three of us can fit in the cuddle chair. I had two devoted humans stroking me and talking to me for absolutely ages. It was so long that it was me who got bored first. I did bounce back onto them shortly afterwards. Then I bounced off and on again, but they didn’t seem to enjoy that as much as cuddling me.
The cuddle chair is even better than sitting on the settee – especially when I’m the focus and not the television.
Early start
Mum said she needed to get up early yesterday. She even set her alarm, which is unusual. She did tell me 7am, but I was anxious to make sure she’d have plenty of time for me in her plans. So I woke her at 6. I didn’t need to go out. I didn’t especially want breakfast. What I really wanted was Mum. She looked a bit bleary eyed, but I don’t mind that. Looks aren’t important to me.

The greenhouse
To all our surprise, the greenhouse is nearly finished. It may not be perfect, but it is finished. The last I checked Mum wasn’t completely certain that the doors would close, but I’m sure that can be over come. The supports for the shelves don’t seem to fit quite as expected either but Mum is less worried about that as she won’t need any shelves until spring. She will have lost the instructions by then, so I fear she is going to be disappointed. Dad came indoors claiming he was going to look at how to solve the problem by looking on YouTube – I think he got sidetracked.
