My hydrotherapy
Yesterday was my hydrotherapy. It was only my second time, but I felt much more confident than the first time. I quite surprised my hydrotherapist by happily getting in or my own accord and not minding in the least that this time the water came up higher. I actually tried to swim instead of walk on the treadmill, but she explained that wasn’t what she wanted me to do. Mum had taken my favourite treats to act as encouragement. I do hope the next dog in the pool didn’t mind there being remnants of my drool everywhere.
The only problem was that my back was hurting a little and the pain was going into my back right leg. It meant I wasn’t weight bearing on that leg, which didn’t help.
My eye
I did wonder whether I’d be going to hydrotherapy at all. First thing yesterday when I went out into the garden I got something in my eye. It was so uncomfortable. Anyway, Mum got out the cotton wool and some warm water and bathed my eye. It wasn’t completely right so she took me for a vet check just in case. After all my eye problems last year, Mum didn’t want to leave anything to chance.
I did quite well in the waiting room. For the first time in ages Mum didn’t make me wait outside. I wasn’t quite so cooperative with the vet. He had to chase me around the room a bit to put the drops in my eyes to have a look. He found some sign of trauma in that it was slightly swollen, but thankfully the surface of the eye was perfect. Mum just needs to keep a watch on it to make sure it goes back to normal. If not I’ll have to have some gel for my eye and you know how much I hate that!
