A Bonio each way – Wednesday 6th November 2024

A Bonio each way

I could have bet a Bonio each way on my favourite horse. You see, yesterday Mum asked if I’d like to go to the racecourse for a walk. I always like going to the racecourse so I jumped at the possibility. To be fair, I also jump at most possibilities but that’s another story. Anyway, Mum said she had a grocery delivery coming and then we’d go. As long as I didn’t mind her nipping to the dry cleaners first. It seemed like a fair deal and I never mind us having outings in the car as we chat along the way. Unfortunately, the groceries were later than we hoped they would be, so it was already getting to my teatime by the time Mum was ready. I absolutely cannot walk on an empty stomach. Besides which it was getting dark, so I said I didn’t mind not going.

Mum nipped out to the dry cleaners and got back to give me my tea. As it turned out I couldn’t have gone around the racecourse if I’d wanted to as there was a race meeting on. Mum said that bookmakers don’t take Bonios for bets, so I guess I wouldn’t have been able to do much even if we’d gone.

Swimming today

Today is my swimming lesson, or hydrotherapy session if you want to be pedantic. I always thinks that sounds far too medical, whereas swimming lesson sounds way more fun. I’m feeling a little more prepared for the moving walkway, but I still think the whole thing’s weird. I would definitely rather have all four paws off the ground and swim. Sadly, that’s not allowed. It just feels much more natural to do that. Maybe Mum could find me a bigger pool to swim in or let me go in the pond at home.
