We have a sloth – Friday 29th November 2024

We have a sloth

We have a sloth that’s moved in. He’s very cute. Sloth has a heartbeat. He isn’t actually for me, but is ready for when Pebbles moves in. He’s designed to help her settle and will remind her of her Mum’s heartbeat. I do hope she likes it, but if she doesn’t I’ve asked Mum if I can have it as it really is very soothing. The heartbeat goes for twenty minutes when you push the button. I think the idea is that you fall asleep before the twenty minutes are up. If not, I’m sure I can show Pebbles how to push the button again so she can keep it going.

I shall get Mum to take the labels off. For some reason she doesn’t trust me with scissors.

Nearly finished

Our building work is nearly finished. It is possible that by the time we collect Pebbles all the work indoors will be done. That would be such good news. At the moment, Mum is a bit concerned about it all. There may still be the odd day to do for things to be complete, but it shouldn’t be much. What it does mean is that the start of next week is going to be quite busy. Some of the things we’ve been waiting for will be done then and after that it should just be finishing things off. We will even have a front door again.

Christmas decorations

If the main building work is finished it will also mean Mum can put up the final Christmas decorations. At the moment there are things like the wreath for the front door which can’t go up, as we don’t have a front door. And some lights to go around the porch that hasn’t been fully built yet. Mum has said that it will all look lovely in time for Christmas. I just hope she’s right.

Love

Wilma
