Dogs and cats

Dogs and cats do not get along. Or at least that is what we would have you believe. Yes, I normally chase cats. But then normally is about next door’s cat who is invading my territory and I have every right to make a point very clearly. Next door’s cat also goes to the toilet in my garden and that doesn’t seem fair at all.

Anyway, Elfrieda isn’t just any cat. I have known her since I was born. She lives with my sister Valeria and has lived there since before either I or Valeria were a twinkle in our parents’ eyes. I was sitting on the settee quietly with Mum yesterday when Elfrieda came over to join us. My first thought was one of being slightly wary, but then we had a sniff of each other and I remembered my manners and lay back down. She’s all right for a cat.

My mountain

I’d started the day with a walk on my mountain. The paths were a bit icy, so Mum walked on the grass. I had lots of chance to be off lead and run with Valeria. I was careful and didn’t overdo it. The only bit of me that has hurt a couple of times is my neck. Mum says we need to start my neck exercises again when I go home. I don’t really want to do them, but if it helps I guess I must.

Valeria took me for a walk around her village later as well. We even put our paws in the lake, although the water was a bit on the cold side.

Today’s plan

Mum says we will probably have a lakeside walk today and I think we’re going to the pet shop to buy the things we want for Pebbles. Dad said Mum could order them online, but Mum wants to have a look at what she’s buying, to make sure they are the right sizes for Pebbles needs.

Love
