Keeping my head down
I’m keeping my head down. It turns out that some of the work we were expecting to be completed in time for Christmas isn’t now being done until the new year. Mum and Dad are pretty fed up as they moved quite a lot of stuff out of the way that they want straight for everyone visiting at Christmas. Now they need to move it all back into place and then move it out of the way again later. On the bright side, the builders aren’t working for two weeks, so we have plenty of time for Pebbles to settle in before she has to deal with the chaos that is our lives.
Pebbles preparations
Today is Pebbles preparations day. Mum wants to make sure that everything is ready. She is going to put the double crate in the car so we’re ready to pick Pebbles up. Then we’re going to put some of the outdoor toys in the garden ready for her and some more of the indoor toys ready too. Mum says she wants to wash some of the bedding before she puts it out for Pebbles to use. It has been in the garage and is a bit dusty. Some of the things we want are still in storage and Mum says we’re going to have to manage without those as we don’t have anywhere else to put things right now.
Cooking
One thing I’m very excited about is that Mum says we can do some cooking at the weekend. We have quite a few visitors coming and Mum is planning to make some biscuits and cakes. It will be so cool teaching Pebbles what we have to do. There’ll be plenty of crumbs for both of us – there always are. Mum is really strict about only using ingredients which we are safe to be around – so everyone’s happy.
