Rest Day
Yesterday was a rest day for Pebbles. She was actually quite tired, but did have lots of play in the garden. What she didn’t have were lots of new experiences. If she has too many, one after another, then it all gets too much. So, she had time to absorb everything she’s experienced so far and to not feel too stressed. Mum played ball with her quite a bit. She has a boomer ball that she can push round and chase and a big ball I had for Treibball that she pushes round too.
Mum says she reminds her of Alfie playing with the rubber connected rings, but she also reminds her of Shadow because Pebbles is just as happy to chase a leaf.
Time for me
Mum also spent a lot of the day with me, which I really appreciated. We spent a lot of time cooking. Well, Mum was cooking, I was clearing up after her. And we spent some time sitting in our favourite chair together, recovering. It did make me feel quite a bit better, but then I think Pebbles having a quieter day helped us all really.
The only shame about the quiet day was that Mum didn’t take any new photos. She says it was because she was wearing the wrong trousers and the pockets aren’t big enough for her phone. Mind you, I can’t see her wearing her favourite trousers any time soon as Pebbles is in a phase of attaching herself to Mum’s trouser legs – and her boots, and her jumper… pyjamas… dressing gown… You get the picture.
Exciting day
I’m excited about today as Mum is planning to cook the turkey that we’re having when everyone comes on Saturday. I love turkey so am more than happy to be on paw for when she needs a tester.
Love
Wilma
