Driving Dad nuts
I’ve been driving Dad nuts without even trying. He’s blaming Mum for buying me things that make a noise, which seems fair. My new feed toy makes a really good whirring noise. It sort of goes up and down as I move it around the floor. Then there’s the tough squeaky dumbbell, which Mum has bought to use in training with me. I LOVE it. It has replaced turtle in my affections. Turtle’s squeak is way too quiet, whereas the dumbbell is amazing. I’ve been running around the kitchen with it in my mouth squeaking it repeatedly.
Mum says they are the sorts of noises she can completely block out, unfortunately Dad can’t! Mind you, I lost control of a chew I was swinging around the day before and it hit Dad on the head, so I guess he ought to be glad I haven’t thrown the dumbbell through the air yet.
Wilma is fed up
Wilma says she is totally fed up with having to wear a cone and rest. She is not thrilled with having so many different eye drops in her eyes each day and she just wants to be better and live a normal life. I’d hate it. I can’t believe how patient she’s being having all her medication. I don’t think there is any chance I’d ever be as good as she is being. For one thing, I simply cannot sit still. Mum is hoping I get better as I get older, but I’m not seeing it. I hate sitting still. I don’t even eat a meal without having to rush off and play for a while after every few mouthfuls.
Walks
Mum says with me being six months old this week I can increase the length of my walks again. The exciting thing is that she says it means we can start going to some different places. I can’t wait to see where we try. It is so exciting.
