Change of plan – Sunday 19th January 2025

Change of plan

Yesterday involved a complete change of plan. Granny had a fall and Mum and Pebbles had to go to see her. I stayed at home with Dad as he needed a responsible adult with him, me! Mum said that Pebbles was a very good and grown up girl. She seemed really rather proud of her. Pebbles coped with having to sit in the car for several hours. Mum took her out to the toilet every hour and gave her food and water. Pebbles even got to meet the paramedics, which she said was very exciting. Fortunately, Granny is fine. Pebbles was very pleased to be home afterwards and spent some time letting off steam. It means her planned outing to the garden centre has moved to today.

Final stages

We really do seem to be in the final stages of the building work now. Mum says the snagging list is less than two pages long and she’s promised that isn’t because things like ‘build a whole room’ have been reduced to one line. I can’t wait for the finish. I’ll have so much of my freedom back as there will be no one for me to scare during the day. Pebbles is the only one not looking forward to the end of the work. She has totally fallen for one of the builders. To be fair, Pebbles really likes men, but there is one of the builders in particular that she only has to hear his voice and she rolls on her back in excitement. I think he will miss her too, but Mum says Pebbles can still see him if she would like to.

Garden jobs

We are back to trying to catch up with garden jobs. Now that Pebbles is a bit bigger and has a lovely play area safely in the middle of the garden, Mum is happy to get on with jobs and check on Pebbles at regular intervals. There are five trees Mum needs to finish pruning. I’m trying to help her count them off. We’re working on two willows later today.

Love and woofs
