The morning after
For Pebbles yesterday was definitely the morning after the day before. She was still exhausted from the fun day and didn’t even want to get up when Mum was ready. Mum took her for a nice walk in the morning and for once they came back still on speaking terms. Mum actually said that Pebbles was moving so nicely on the way back that it really is time to get her ready to enter one or two dog shows.

Mum doesn’t plan to do the showing herself, except in odd circumstances. The plan is for Polly’s human to help. Mum is setting up for her to meet Pebbles and start getting to know each other ready.
Learning to relax
We did have another attempt for me and Pebbles to get together. Mum hoped that she might have learnt some manners with the other dogs at the fun day. It turned out that didn’t spill over into being nice to me. Once again she wrapped her paws around my neck and wouldn’t let go. If I were feeling ok I’d be able to deal with it. Given I’m not feeling brilliant I just asked to duck out again and try again maybe in a week or two.
Pebbles had a lovely time later in the day sitting down for a cuddle with Dad. Dad has a couple of days off and is making the most of his time with us. Pebbles adores him as much as I do. Mum says she could take it personally. I’m definitely Mum’s dog and if she leaves the room then I would always follow. Pebbles would simply stay with Dad – or so Mum thinks. She may be underestimating how Pebbles feels.

Puppy class
Today Dad is going to watch Pebbles in her puppy class. Mum fears that will mean Pebbles spends the whole class trying to get to Dad and not concentrating. It will make a change from being so excited about the other dogs that she doesn’t concentrate!
Love and woofs
