Hormonal
Mum is guessing that Pebbles is hormonal. To be fair to Pebbles, I don’t think she really knows what is going on with her body. Yesterday morning she was spinning between being hyper and calm and cuddly and finding it hard to explain what she was feeling. She didn’t want her breakfast and was too excitable to go for a walk. Mum might have decided to try walking her if Pebbles had been interested in any of her treats, but without that Mum concluded there was a big risk of things not going to plan.

Mum took Pebbles to her training class, hoping that the environment would be good for her. Pebbles was so wired that Mum had to opt out of the first part of the class. Instead, she stood with Pebbles where Pebbles could see the other dogs, but sat quietly and did little games with Mum to help her settle.
Walking to heel
Only once Pebbles had come down a little did Mum try doing any lead walking with Pebbles and when she did recall, mum concluded it would be on lead only. Mum said it was worth being there, but no one would have concluded Pebbles was ready for the next class based on yesterday.
The day didn’t stop there though. Mum did lots of little training games with Pebbles through the day and she was actually doing ok, without the big distractions. Small steps. She got her appetite back at lunchtime too, which definitely helped.
Sprats
Mum said I can have some of the sprats. They are amazing. I’ve never been allowed things like this before as Mum really doesn’t like them looking at her. She’s had to get over all of that and it looks like I’m going to benefit too. I shall still have my favourite vanilla biscuits, but occasionally I might ask for a sprat instead.
