Dry day – Sunday 26th January 2025

Dry day

At last Pebbles has managed a completely dry day. Mum has been getting quite concerned about how long it has taken Pebbles to get the hang of things. It isn’t that Mum hasn’t been attentive, she’s tried really hard. She takes Pebbles out and Pebbles does what is expected then comes in and ten minutes later pees again.  Finally, she seems to have understood what’s needed. We’re not expecting everything to be perfect immediately but Mum is very pleased with the progress. Now we just need to stop Pebbles hanging off Mum’s jumper and biting the back of her knee.

Good weather day

Yesterday was a good weather day and we had some lovely time outdoors. I was sent in for barking too much, but what’s a sunny winter’s day without a bit of barking? I was chasing round the outside of Pebbles’ pen while she ran round the inside trying to keep up. It was great exercise for both of us. Pebbles spent some time digging and some more time carrying sticks. I just mooched around after Mum as she carried on pruning trees. She finished one of the willows so that only leaves one willow, two plums and the tree in the corner. As you can tell, I don’t know what the tree in the corner is.

Dutch Club

We have received an invite to the Dutch Club’s 50th anniversary. Mum couldn’t believe that ten years have passed since she and Dad went with Shadow to the 40th anniversary. Shadow even took part in the show. Mum of course was hopeless, which didn’t help. Anyway, the exciting thing is that we will already be on holiday in Belgium at the time it’s on. We will be able to go. I won’t take part as I’m really past all that, but Pebbles says she’d like to enter. I just hope Mum doesn’t let her down.

Love and woofs
