Pebbles is now Belgian
For the purpose of travelling, Pebbles is now Belgian. At least we hope she is. She went to the vet in Belgium and has been issues a Belgian Pet Passport. Both Mum and the vet didn’t feel totally confident that everything was correct. We just have to hope that it works. Today she will come home on the animal health certificate that she travelled out on, so we won’t totally know everything is ok until the next time that she travels. Mum says she might just get an Animal Health Certificate issued that time too just to be on the safe side and to use as back up if there were any query on the passport.
Being weighed
Pebbles was very funny when the vet said she needed to be weighed. Pebbles has got so used to being weighed that she was on the scales and lying down before the vet had even managed to turn them on. She couldn’t understand why Mum told her she had to get off and then try again. She was 21.5kg, so has only gone up a little in the last week – but that’s a good thing as otherwise she will be huge!
A quiet day
Mum and Pebbles had a quiet day yesterday while Dad went off to a museum. Mum took Pebbles for a nice walk and then they spent the day doing nothing very much together. At the moment the travel rules don’t allow you to bring meat products back into the UK, so Pebbles did her best to eat all the treats they were travelling with. Mum pointed out that she could bring the rabbit ears home, but Pebbles said she’d prefer to eat them. Fortunately the food Mum bought her is fish and chicken so should be fine.
