A day of two views
Yesterday was a day of two views. Pebbles thought it was a good idea to charge around the garden like a crazed loon. Every so often she would launch herself at Mum, wherever Mum was trying to sit quietly. Most of the time she carried Hoppig around, dragged branches and ate apples. Me, I took an entirely different approach to the day. I found myself a nice comfortable spot and rested my eyes.

My eyes
The resting the eyes was literally – they’ve been sore again. I’m due back at the consultant in a couple of weeks and Mum is wondering if we need to talk about other options. Even with three lots of medication, three times a day – my right eye is still very dry and very sore. The problem is that the remaining options are not very good ones. Firstly I could have major surgery which may well not work, so is not a good option. The alternative would be to lose my eye, As things are, I’m thinking that might be the better option. I’ve got friends who have lost an eye and coped very well. Whatever happens, I know Mum will look after me.
The shed roof
I am pleased to report that Mum completed the repair of the shed roof. Of course, that makes it certain not to rain again for a long time, but at least it’s fixed. The shed needs painting and Mum’s thinking of doing the same as she did with the other shed and making it look like a beach hut. I guess if it makes her smile then having odd garden sheds isn’t such a bad thing. I don’t suppose the birds will mind. Once they are in their nest boxes they won’t see it.
