Official Birthday
I’ve appreciated the suggestions that I should have an official birthday as well as my actual one, thank you. I’m currently trying to negotiate that with Mum. I’ve said it doesn’t need to be a large affair. I don’t need any Trooping of the Colours – although thinking about it, a guard of honour might be nice. Maybe I could make it especially poignant by insisting it’s led by next door’s cats. Anyway, date wise there needs to be a gap between my official birthday and my real one, so I can make the most of them both. Then I had a thought, if I pick a date that’s when I’m on holiday in Switzerland Mum can take me to my favourite pet shop to buy some of the wonderful vanilla biscuits that I love.
My ostrich bone
Pebbles is thoroughly enjoying my ostrich bone. Mum has let her take it outside and Pebbles is absolutely thrilled. She isn’t allowed to take it anywhere in the garden, just in her pen and she’s had to promise not to bury it. Mum brings it in when Pebbles comes in too as she doesn’t want it spoiled by ants or flies moving in on it. Anyway, she’s happy and that helps to keep her out of my way.
An update on my eyes
Sadly, Mum and I have now talked it through with Dad and concluded that it is not realistic to put eye drops into my eyes as many times a day as would be needed. The rate it’s going we’re going to end up arguing, which would be a real shame. I’ve asked Mum to email my consultant and ask to go ahead with the first eye operation. I don’t know how soon they will fit me in, but I don’t think I’ll have to wait long.
Love and licks
