Boomer Ball – Tuesday 29th July 2025

Boomer Ball

Pebbles loves her Boomer Ball. She’s really funny playing with it and can be very vigorous. Mum did try letting her play in the open garden with it. Unfortunately, as our garden is on a slope it always went in the same direction. That wouldn’t have been so bad if it hadn’t meant that Pebbles always ended up in Mum’s rose garden. Then it was a toss up between whether it was Mum’s roses that would get damaged or whether Pebbles was going to find herself prickled by thorns. Mum decided it was far safer for the whole process to be contained in the pen, where Pebbles couldn’t do any damage.

Frustration

At least Mum thought that Pebbles couldn’t damage anything. The problem is that from time to time the Boomer ball ends up in the paddling pool. Then Pebbles spends a few seconds trying to get it out of the pool before deciding it will be quicker and easier just to destroy the pool. Mum is always on standby to be able to get the ball out so that the paddling pool is not ruined in the process.

Keeping things separate

Mum spends half her life having to keep Pebbles toys either in or out of the pen. Hoppig, Sloth and Moose don’t go in the pen. That’s because if they end up in the paddling pool Pebbles doesn’t take it well when Mum confiscates them for drying. Mind you, Mum also has to watch that they don’t end up in the pond.

Small balls that Pebbles can pick up are best in the open garden. She burns off a lot of energy running around hold them. Ones she can’t pick up have to be in the pen and if you look at the video you’ll understand why.

Love and licks
