Home Again – Monday 1st September 2025

Home again

We’re off home again this morning. Mum has put Pebbles pen back in a slightly different shape to before and is wondering if Pebbles will notice. I almost snorted with laughter. Of course she’ll notice. Especially as she no longer has a path to dog up. I’m opening a book on just how quickly she’s going to re-dig all the holes that Mum filled in. I’m reckoning 24 hours should do it, but Mum is more optimistic. I suspect she’s wrong.

Quiet week

It’s going to be a quiet week of catching up. Fortunately there are some jobs we can help with. Pebbles is offering to run off with the bunting as Mum takes it down. I’m happy to go out in the car with Mum on errands. I like being with her and being able to have a natter. The weather doesn’t look great with is week for the outdoor things, but that suits me going in the car when I only have to wait a few minutes while she goes into places. Pebbles isn’t offering to come in the car, so that’s a bonus.

Food

The most exciting part of coming home after Mum’s party is that there is food left over. Not only that, but there is food we can help eating. Mum even thought about us when planning the food, so there is Emmental cheese, but better still there is some of the hog roast left over and that has to be good news. We won’t be allowed very much of it, but anything will be appreciated. Pebbles will be allowed the cheese for her training classes. She has to earn every piece, but at least it keeps her focussed – for a minute or two anyway.

In between all that I’m going to start thinking about my holiday. I can’t wait.

Love and licks
