Digging – Tuesday 2nd September 2025

Digging

One of us has been digging. Mum needs to dig to plant some herbs, but it wasn’t her. Dad doesn’t like digging, so it wasn’t him. Me? My digging days are over so it wasn’t me. That rather narrows things down. Now the problem is that Mum very carefully filled in all the holes when she moved things around for the party. I know Pebbles had dug the original holes very carefully, but she did it over a long period of time. Mum very carefully filled the holes in with compost. In one day, Pebbles has now distributed the compost liberally around her pen. I don’t think she’s even noticed that the pen is now in a configuration which gives her more space.

Bunting

To Mum’s surprise, Pebbles did help her getting the bunting down – without incident. There was one point when Pebbles made to run off with the end of a piece of bunting, but she was persuaded to leave it – much to Mum’s relief.

Later on Pebbles watched some of The Thursday Murder Club, but I think Mum was worried it was going to give her too many ideas. Pebbles got bored part way through anyway. I don’t think there were enough murders in it for Pebbles.

Training class

This morning is the highlight of my week. Pebbles is going off to her training class and I get a totally stress free morning. Mum has to go with Pebbles, so I guess her morning will be the opposite. Mum is armed with lots of cheese and as Pebbles only had a small portion of breakfast the hope is that Pebbles will work hard to earn her treats. If it works then they’ll come home happy. If Pebbles gets fed up with the cheese, then they will both come home grumpy.

Love and licks
