My best life

I’m living my best life. Being able to run on my mountain with my sister is one of the very best feelings in the world. If I could do that every day I would be the very happiest dog.

On this trip we aren’t staying as close to my mountain, which is such a shame. Mum has promised that I can have at least one more walk there before we go home. We’re even hoping that the sun might come out for that one. At least for my walk yesterday it didn’t rain, but the ground was very wet and by the end of it I had to hang my harness up to dry.

Favourite places

We drove a route that took us past our lake and the road where we lived while Dad worked out here. It was one of those reminiscing sorts of days. ‘Do you remember when…’ Mum had some memories of times with Alfie when he was small, and whilst I wasn’t around in those days, I have heard them before. Like the time he chased the ducks and nearly dragged Mum straight into the lake in winter. I was there the time Dad went swimming in the lake and we watched him from the shore.

Puppies

After that we went to visit some puppies. I decided to wait in the car so that I wouldn’t get in the way, but Mum went in and met them. She said they were absolutely gorgeous. One of them is coming to live in England which is very exciting. Apparently, there was a little boy puppy who really reminded Mum of Alfie when he was tiny. Fortunately, he is going to live in Germany, otherwise I think Mum would have been tempted. I reminded her that with Pebbles we already have quite enough puppies for anyone to cope with.
