An uphill walk
Yesterday was an uphill walk. We did come down again, but Valeria took me to a hill overlooking the town near where she lives. Einsiedeln has a large monastery at the heart of the town and even us dogs could enjoy the view of it from the top of the hill. The way down was much easier than the way up, although Mum nearly fell over which wouldn’t have been good.
It was quite a cold morning and we saw cars which had come down to the town from higher up in the hills and which had snow on them. We saw a very small amount of snow, but not enough to get excited about, which I thought was a shame. The humans weren’t quite as keen.
Change in the weather
We had a small amount of rain during our walk, but not very much. Not enough to get really wet. However, the afternoon was completely different. We went back to where we’re staying for lunch and then headed to Lucerne. The plan had been for me to sit in the car and the humans were going round a transport museum. That was when the lightning started. We could only find an outdoor car park and Mum decided it wasn’t fair to leave me in the car in a thunderstorm on my own. Dad went into the museum and Mum spent all afternoon sitting with me in the car. I’d have been all right, I’m sure, but I did appreciate the gesture.
At one point it hailed really hard too, which was very noisy. Dad had a great time, and Mum and I had sat talking to each other, so we were all happy.
We’re going for a walk first thing this morning and then I think we’re going to see what the weather is doing before deciding on the day.
Love
Wilma
