Pebbles is bored
We’ve only been here a couple of days and Pebbles is bored. Mind you, Pebbles can get bored at home the minute anyone stops entertaining her. I tried sitting her down and explaining that if she could just start behaving like a normal puppy then Mum would take her travelling with her. I know I’m not likely to be doing that in future and I really wouldn’t begrudge Pebbles taking over to look after Mum. How long will it take before Pebbles is ready to do that? She’s still such a flight risk getting out of the car. At least she now has a secure harness, so I guess that’s a start.
A date to aim for
I’ve suggested to Pebbles that she should work very hard to see if she can be ready to travel in time for a very important event next year. 2026 is the 100th Anniversary of our breed. Quite a number of our family and friends in the UK will be heading to Switzerland to join in the big celebration that is taking place at the end of August. It would be lovely if Pebbles could go to that. I’d like to go, but that doesn’t look likely, which is a shame. At least if Pebbles could go then she could tell me all about it when she came back.
She has a few months to work on her behaviour if that is going to happen. I think she should set herself little milestones between now and then so it doesn’t all come as a surprise at the last minute. I’m sure Mum will help her once she’s back.
Checking in on Mum and Dad
When I rang Mum last night she had gone as far as Gent in her travels. Today she will drive on to Cologne. Then I rang Dad and ran through with him which bin each type of rubbish went in to make sure he gets it right. I think he understood, but to be honest I find it quite confusing too. That’s my jobs done, so I can put my paws up for the day. Unlike Pebbles I rarely get bored.
