Coming home

Mum is now coming home. When I spoke to her last night she was back in Gent. Today she will make her way back to England. In a typical twist to our family life, Dad will head in the other direction and is setting off for a work trip to the Netherlands. Pebbles and I will just wait patiently here in kennels until Mum comes to pick us up. We’re not going home until Friday morning as Mum wanted a recovery day before collecting us. Honestly, you’d think from what she says that we’re hard work!

Missing training

Pebbles spent all yesterday morning complaining that she was missing training. It isn’t that she loves learning, that would be too much to ask. What she really misses is seeing her friends. She’s going to be pretty fed up over Christmas when they have a break. I think next week is her Christmas party week and then she gets about four weeks off. Mum is going to see if one of her friends would like a play date in that time, but I’m not to say anything to Pebbles in case Mum can’t arrange it.

I’m missing my hydrotherapy too. Given how much it’s helping I’m glad it’s only one session I’m missing. Perhaps Pebbles would like to try swimming sometime. She might like it.

Catching up

Mum has promised that we are going to spend a lot of time outdoors catching up in the garden once we’re all home. It happens every year. She starts by thinking she has loads of time to get all the jobs done, which are needed before birds start nesting, then suddenly time starts running out and she still has loads to do. Let’s hope it stays dry – then we’ll all be happy.

Love and licks
