Completely unreasonable

Today Mum is being completely unreasonable. I know she said she wanted a rest day after all her driving before she came to pick us up. That seemed ok. I could understand that. What she didn’t say was that she was going to use it to rake up all the apples. We haven’t finished with them. Both Pebbles and I are enjoying having an apple for dessert after every meal. To be fair, we rarely stop at one, but the intention is there to begin with. Now that most of what hasn’t been harvested have fallen off the trees, once they are cleared up now they will be gone for another year.

Compost bins

Pebbles has said we can always climb into the compost bins to get them out. Now that’s all well and good if you are one year old and jump like a gazelle. My days of doing things like that are about as far in the past as Mum’s are. It just isn’t going to happen. My only option is going to be being nice to Pebbles so that she’ll get some for me too.

The only other thought I’d had was to hope that it might rain so much today that Mum gave up. Unfortunately, when I looked at the forecast that was against us too.

Next year’s apple crop feels a long way away from where I’m looking at the moment. I wonder if Mum could add apples to the weekly shopping list.

Christmas countdown

Mum is on a big Christmas Countdown. She’s a big kid at heart and does like using it as an excuse to brighten up winter. I am not wearing a Christmas jumper. Although, now I think about it, perhaps I could pass my jumpers on to Pebbles. They would probably fit her now!

Love and licks
