Sunshine on my fur – Saturday 27th December 2025

Sunshine on my fur

There is no better feeling than sunshine on my fur. Yesterday, although it wasn’t warm, was bright and sunny. I spent quite a bit of time mooching around the garden just enjoying the sunshine. If it’s like that again today I think Mum and Dad will be able to spend time outside with me. They had visitors yesterday which meant that they couldn’t join me in just mooching.

One of yesterday’s visitors was my cousin Flossie, a spaniel. We know each other and have been for walks together. After she’d gone yesterday I totally disgraced myself by peeing all over the carpet in the dining room where they had all spent time. Thank goodness Mum has a carpet cleaner or she would have been a lot crosser than she was.

New favourite chair

Pebbles has a new favourite chair. There is one particular chair which Granny finds comfortable when she comes. It’s normally in our garden room, but Mum moved it up to a corner of the kitchen for Granny. Dad says he quite likes there being a bit more space in the garden room, so Mum said the chair could stay in the kitchen. Pebbles has promptly adopted it as her own. She’s delighted with her new position of comfort. I’m pleased too as it means my chair in the hall will no longer smell of Pebbles and I can reclaim it as my own. I guess everyone wins… as long as Granny doesn’t mind a few of Pebbles hairs here and there after she’s used the chair.

Change of plans

We were going to have visitors today and tomorrow too, but they won’t be coming until later in January now. I offered to help eat the food that Mum had got in, but it turns out that she hadn’t taken it out of the freezer yet, so that’s not a problem. That’s a shame as I quite fancied what was on the menu, especially as it involved some things from my Swiss homeland.

Love and licks
