2026 Resolutions – Thursday 1st January 2026

2026 Resolutions

We’ve been busy making our 2026 resolutions. Mum has always been a very enthusiastic resolution maker. Some she makes every year and has made the same ones for many years – she is yet to achieve them! On the bright side, at least she’s trying. Pebbles and my resolutions are rather simpler. Mine is to work hard at my hydrotherapy so that I maintain my fitness as long as possible.

Pebbles sat down with Mum to make hers. When I say ‘ sat down’ – Mum was sitting down. Pebbles was bouncing around her. They both made the same resolution, but from different sides. They have both made a promise to each other that they won’t give up on Pebbles’ training.

Good Citizen

Mum resolved last year that she would take Pebbles through her Good Citizen exams. There are three, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Pebbles’ half-sister Bonnie actually managed to do all three of them by her first birthday. The rest of us have all done at least our Bronze and Silver even if it’s taken longer than a year. So far Pebbles has not been ready to enter for her Bronze exam. Not being able to stay still for more than a second or two is very limiting when it comes to the more controlled exercises.

I hope that Pebbles does get to the point of doing her exams. I’m sure she will feel a real sense of achievement if she passes one of them.

In the meantime she wondered if she could try something different to obedience. After seeing my picture the other day, she wondered how she’d look as a ballerina. Mum of course humoured her.

Happy New Year

Whether you make resolutions or not, I would like to wish you all a very happy new year and hope it will be a healthy and happy one for you. Always remember it’s the simple things that matter most.

May your days be filled with all the apples you can eat and your nights be spent somewhere cosy and comfy.

Love and licks

Wilma
